Property Transfer Affidavit (PTA)
Must be filed with Township Offices to ensure property is assessed properly and receives the correct taxable value.

Principle Residence Exemption (PRE)
If you own and occupy a home, you should complete the P.R.E. Affidavit.  If not, the homeowner is subject to an 18 mill increase in taxes.

Principle Residence Exemption (PRE) Board of Review Appeal Affidavit
If your PRE was removed or never put on and it should have been, this form needs to be signed to go before the Board of Review in July or December.

Request to Rescind/Withdraw Homestead Exemption
When a home is sold, the seller must rescind the homestead exemption on that home before claiming a Principle Resident Exemption Affidavit on another home.

Conditional Rescission of Principal Residence Exemption
A conditional rescission allows an owner to receive a PRE on his or her current property and on previously exempted property simultaneously if the previous principal residence (all must apply):
             • is not occupied
             • is for sale
             • is not leased
             • is not used for any business or commercial purpose.
